I got excited until I read “property is privately owned and not open to the public” but it’s good to see they at least won’t turn it into another campground or trailer park up there.
It’s interesting that there’s almost zero public land on the Upper D considering the remoteness of the area and how many large parcels of land pretty clearly were once available for purchase from the logging companies and such. Thankfully the navigability rules allow wade fisherman to still get around pretty well but it’s hard not to think about what that stretch would be like had they done something similar to the Delaware water gap area.
