Hook recommendation for egg pattern

Hi everyone. Just getting started tying. Can someone recommend a good hook for tying an egg pattern?

Any "scud" style hook will work well. The size will depend on the egg size. Most of the egg flies I tie are about the size of a pea and I use a #12 hook. If you are tying for steelhead, it wouldn't hurt to pick a hook that is on the stronger side.
