Here is a hellgramite pattern I have been working on ,what do you think ?

Here are a few ideas..

Shorten the legs and maybe the tail....thats just me, i do see lots of flies similar to yours in proportions..maybe coat the fly to give it weight and make it last. Also not sure what feather you used but cdc might work in brown and black and give it a buggy look but not so stiff.

I like it henry, tohickon again ?? what happened to the skilton ones give up on them ??
