Hardy Marksman Reel

I'm thinking about getting another reel for a new rod I'm having built. I was actually going to buy another spool for the Hardy Sirrus I have but the spool is $260. I talked to a guy today that recommended the Hardy Marksman instead of a new spool since it only cost $250.

Do any of you guys have a Marksmans and if so, would you recommend it?

I opted for the Teton Tioga instead. My first trip with the new rod and reel will be to the Letort and Falling Springs in 2 weeks. Hopefully I'll be able to report good things about both.
