While at the Tying Jam someone passed a round a D shaped wire type hackle pliers that seemed to do a great job.
I heard someone mention they had them at the Somerset show but I didn't hear who was selling them.
I'll be attending the Lancaster show and wanted to get one but didn't feel like wading through the masses at every table to find a 5 or 10 dollar plier.

Can anyone help me??

I wasn't at the jam, but are you referring to the Tyflyz hackle pliers?

Yep!! Someone got one at the Somerset Show. If anyone knows which booth please chime in. If not I'll try to keep a sharp eye out.

I google search them and they popped up at a ton of places. J.Stockard had them for $10 I believe.

Side note: I prefer the cheap hackle pliers that came with me beginner kit over my $30 pair.

of all of the hackle pliers i own this this one that gets used the least

Flyfishersparadise.com sells these hackle pliers and they are a Pennsylvania fly shop.

Thanks JMP. I get there 2 or 3 times a year. If I don't see them at the show I'll wait a few months till I get up to the State College area.

I use them. What they're gripping will not slip or pull out.
