Many of you may recall previous discussions re: a Study for the Francis E Walter Res and Lehigh River - the "Coldwater Study".

Well, to let everyone know the Coldwater Study has been funded for Phase I. Follow the attached links for more details.

A big thanks to all of those who have written to the agencies and congressional officials. Power of the "pen"...or PC?

This phase of the Study should be finished in May 2008.

A big thanks to everyone who has supported this effort. The wheels are in motion to make a BIG difference in the Lehigh's trout fishery. But there will still be a lot more support needed done down the road. Please stay tuned.

Well done to you and the LCFA, LRSA and anyone else I missed. I know you to be dedicated folks. The rest of us need to support the effort any way we can.

If you fish the Lehigh, fill out the logs.
If you fish the Lehigh or even if you don't, you should join LRSA and LCFA. In the long run, it will be among the best fishing-related money you ever spent.

I couldn't agree more. The state, and especially SEPA, has very few of these unique fisheries so we need to do as much as possible to improve the situation. My $ feels much better going to the Lehigh cold water alliance than to even TU. We need to fight the battles that we have a better chance of winning first. This is one of said battles.
