A few points here, company is claiming to only raise sterile females in ponds or pools, not sure the specifics on the containment here.
They are forcing hormone production with burbot genes I believe to make it grow larger.
I don't think Salmon are an easy fish to pool raise at all relative to something else, and I think they get fed fish protein.
My biggest objection is that the company is already pushing for no labeling as a GMO, a company rep stating "This fish is identical to the traditional food," . "The label could even be misleading because it implies a difference that doesn't exist."
And then, of course there are the patent issues, which I am not too certain of, but if it's the gmo industry and it's anything like crop patent law I am against it.
