I am building a jig to start making furled leaders and am looking for formulas for the measurements where you are putting your pegs on the board.
Also, what length leaders are you typically making?

These links have some good info. I followed the canerod info closest, but still made some modifications to my taste. PM me if you're looking for any advice.

I use a shorb loop for the butt end of the leader. I prefer a perfection loop at the tippet end, I feel it is stronger.

thanks studiomule, it's starting to come together...

the next thing i am looking for is a formula for length and taper.

i would like to make longer leaders, the one i made is about 5.5 feet and i would like to make one closer to 10'...any suggestions?

Just drill holes every 1 or 2 inches along the board for each "leg" or half of the leader and you will be able to experiment at will without the need to drill more holes later on.
