On 6 June in Boiling Springs is the annual arts and crafts festival known as Foundry Day. This is an on-the-street event with booths and tents representing local artists, craftsmen, quiltmakers, etc. Cumberland Valley TU usually has a booth over at the Appalachian Trail building. I'll have a booth as well (I think on the other side of the lake). Drop by and say "hi" if you're around. If your wife enjoys arts and crafts shows this might make a nice trip to Boiling Springs. You can walk to the "run" and fish (Allenberry on the Yellow Breeches is just about a mile down the road) while she enjoys the show. If you care to eat at the local restuarants in town you might want to make a reservation soon as this event is pretty crowded, esp when the weather is nice.
