Nockamixon Lake was recently surveyed by the PFBC and has a good population of tiger muskies. Curiously, purebreds were stocked in the past but failed. Personally, I'd rather see the PFBC focus more on pure rather than tiger muskies but, as this study shows, sometimes the hybrids seem to thrive where purebreds don't (I have no idea why) and, at least in the past, tigers were cheaper to raise in the hatcheries.
Anyway, a trip to Nockamixon might be worthwhile for some toothy critter success. Good numbers of big largemouths are present too.
