Here is a nice winter activity to work on.

There is no issue with a fly that is tied to catch a fish if that is all you want, but if you ever decide that you would want to be an accomplished fly tier and bring your fly tying to the next level, this Fly Tying Skill Award Program is for you.

This is a neat program. The bronze and silver taught me a thing or two.

When I first did the Bronze Award I learned a new way to tie a Woolly Bugger, no way any fish would be able to rip it apart.

Sliver had me tie a Elk Hair Caddis but not the way I learned. Now I tie it this new way (or the original way it was tied by Al Troth)

I am doing the Gold Award now and this was my first time I tied a Humpy.

You learn a lot and you will bring your tying to a new level.
