Interesting. Anybody have any recommedations from that list for a beginner tier?

I'm eying up Ak's advanced tying not sure how good it is though

They are great prices.
Steve, I'd say that "Simple Flies" would be a great starter book -- three materials or less.

Easy xmas presents...

I have "trout fly patterns, by Taff Price" and it's OK at best. Just shows a drawn picture of the fly, and materials used.

For any of you that live near Quakertown. Ollies has "Beyond Basic Fly Tying with DVD" in the store. The list price is $30 but they are selling it for $7. Maybe it's in all of the Ollies but I know it's there.

i have that book ptail , also essential trout flies , the art of fly tying , and naggys book on steelhead guide is loaded with info
