Fly reel no more clicking sound

My question is did a spring fall out of the reel that makes the clicking sound I basically switched from right hand to left hand retrieve. If so where do I get one the internet is so cumbersome.

Need more info about the reel. What brand, model and pictures would help a great deal.

I had a Lamson reel w same issue.
There is a plastic "stub" , creating the click, that broke off.
Does not effect reel function.
A VERY helpful fly shop employee went extra mile to fix, but came to dead end.
Right now, not worth time and trouble to ship back to Lamson for repair.
Still big fan of Lamson products.

Thanks BruceC2C , I watched a video about the click and pawl set up looks like mine is not that way, I took the reel to a big box store and it was mentioned a spring was missing, I regret that I cannot upload a photo of the reel its a basic cortland cdm 5,6 reel, this is my second reel i changed to left hand reel that i lost the sound, im not even touching my clearwater its set up for left hand.

Years ago I bought a reel that had no clicking sound. Convinced it was defective since all my other reels clicked, I returned it a demanded a new reel. Promptly received the new reel, no click.
