Flies with Nymph Skin

I have been reading Steve Thorntons "listen to the river" and have bought a few of his products including Nymph Skin and wanted to tie up some flies using it but not sure I want to them as complex as he does!

Wanted to know if anybody has tied any fly patterns using Nymph Skin?

That ammonite pattern is unreal. How's the book? Worth the purchase price?

The book is good, lots of different techinques that I think could be used on other flies . Not sure about worth the purchase price, a little bit pricey for the amount of info!

The ammonite pattern is the first pattern oit of the book I'm going to try.Have you tied it?
