Spring has sprung.

Surely it will be cool again but I think the days of highs in the 20’s is gone.

How about you? Have you had an opportunity to fish for risers?

First one of the year yesterday.

I saw a few BWOs flitting around a mountain brookie stream on Thursday. No risers yet.

It's game time for pre-spawn bass and if, like me, you're an early spring WW insurgent, don't forget to pack some trout dry flies. Many of the bass waters will have some trout in them this time of year and early stoneflies can bring them up. It's not unusual to find a rising trout, often a large wild BT, this time of year while out for bass.

Good times are comin. . .

20 minute hatch Paul.

Sometimes I drive 299 miles round trip and no bugs hatch and I don’t catch anything in cold and rainy weather.

Next week looks real good Jeff.
