Does any one here have one of these? If so, do you think of it? Do you find it useful or helpful, or does it collect dust in the back of your closet?

ECHO Micro Practice Rod - cabelas.com

I've been thinking about getting one of these for a while. It would be nice to be able to work on my casting stroke at home. Any feedback will be appreciated as always.

More interestingly, can I fish with it?

Buy one, tire of it, give to me. I'll see how it holds up.

Hille's used to have one, but I wan't a fan of it.

Just use the tip section of your favorite rod.

I have one, I like it, but I used an old line in it. I was having difficulty with my double hauling, and shooting of line and I felt that it really helped. The yarn line they had was the correct weight, but would not go through the guides easy enough for proper technique. I kept mine outside on the deck, and every time I as outside grilling I would cast for 10 minutes. I recommend one if you are looking for a good tool to help improve your casting.
