For anyone who fishes the EB brandywine in the delayed harvest, just a heads up. Long thread of threatening comments on Facebook from landowner. I believe this is just above the bend pool with the “rock wall” on his side. IMO it fishes best from the other side anyway. Seems like a headache not worth dealing with for some stockers. Just wanted to share.

I think the landowner has made quite the name for himself the past few years with this topic and several other legal issues.

Was the Brandywine ever used for commercial purposes throughout it's history? Regarding owning land under the water, it does not matter if the river is considered a navigable waterway (in PA) it is public.

Sounds like people have been kind of trashing his property or at least not showing some respect for his property regardless of navigability rights.

Go to his Facebook page and read his August 7 2024 post. The police incident report shows how unhinged he is.
Honestly id avoid fishing the area. No doubt he would likely harm someone.

Naaaa...

The "I have a right to fish anywhere/navigability crowd" will antagonize this guy to the point of someone getting hurt or the PFBC taking the section off the stocking list, ruining it for everyone.
Maybe but I disagree. Just searching his name shows he has made quiet a name for himself being unhinged on all matters.

IMO this seems more like an individual landowner problem than fisherman problem.

If everyone you meet is an *******, it's probably you.

A guy who buys property on a stocked trout stream should probably have gone into it knowing he would have to coexist with the public. If he wants to keep them out, put up signs or a fence. From what little knowledge I have about the situation, it appears he did neither and just decided to start throwing a tantrum. He is not the victim here.

But dudeman, going on random social media posts and threatening any and everyone who may have or may not have wondered into your unposted, unfenced off property is the only effective way to show them navigable hillbillies who's the boss!

I wasn't going to say anything, but I too, looked at his previous FB posts and videos last night. Mental illness is a real challenge these days. This guy is exactly the type to put a hole in you for the perceived slightest thing. Stocked trout aren't worth this BS. Grab a gander...these two are real gems:
