Few pics from today, flew into shop when i opened door. temps outside are low 30's and water temps are around 36-38. The way wind is blowing must of came from marsh creek. size 12 mustad 94840 for comparison

Great pics Bob! If you add the latin name we can put this post in the stonefly category. And the recommended hook size to contrast the 12 for comparison. A #12 would be too big as you know.

I can confirm that the little black stones were out in force on the Lehigh this past weekend. Unfortunately, it might be a while until it is fishable.

What characters are you using to determine genus and species of this stonefly?
