yeah, pvc for the rod, the reel case is the issue, seen some guys use ammo cans but looking for other ideas

I saw one the other day on the LJR where a guy had used PVC pipe for the rod portion and he had attached part of a canvas travel case for the reel portion. I am guessing he must have glued the reel portion to the PVC. Sorry, I know that's not the best description, but I'm sure you catch my drift.

Wish I could just load the rod strung up in the interior, but even with my panty-dropping wagon, my long rod

My son and I made one out of wood. It came out really good and works very well. I need to make a few changes such as adding a clamp to the door to keep it from warping and close it tighter, and I need to fiberglass it eventually. Long term, I may just get it remade with aluminum and eliminate all wood.

I would think any of the Pelican style knockoffs (or authentic if yer willing to cut it up) could work in the right size. Lockable too.
