I was walking the trail along Ridley Creek, north of Gradyville Road, when I saw this crap all over the streambed. Is this Didymo (rock snot)?

I would say no

If you pick up a bit of it, didymo feels coarse like a wet cotton ball. If it's slimy, it's not didymo.

From the pic it just looks to me like algae covered with fine sediment.
