depth control/ 1st time ww ff

Going out on Lake Arthur tomorrow, targeting LMB, and such. My question is would you use an indicator (thingamabobber) for depth control? Will be throwing a 5 weight and have an assortment of ww flies I will be taking.

NO . Your depth will be determined by your leader length, weight of your fly and retrieve rate. You could use a bobber to suspend your flies but I would rather tie a fly off of a popper .
