Thinking about doing some shad fishing next week. Does anyone know are they still around Lumberville area. Also Reigelsville.

I'm pretty interested in catching a shad. My only suitable rod though is a 9 weight that's set up with an intermediate line. Is that going to get down fast enough?

I probably have some sinking tips that I can throw on there to help get the line down if not.
