Just wondering what you guys tie up for a crayfish? I have been wanting to tie some of these for awhile because they are in great abundance and the big browns in Penns eat them. Ideas, pictures, and recipes would be appreciated! Thanks

This, in black on Penns.

Did they steal that from Jimmy Houston?

This is my favorite crayfish pattern, basically just a simplified version of the Full Motion Crayfish, quick to tie and devastatingly effective...

Crayfish

Hook: Mustad 3366, 1/0-6
Thread: 6/0 UNI Thread, color to match shellback
Weight: dumbbell eyes
Antennae: 2 sili legs
Tail (mouth parts): tuft of rabbit cut from zonker strip
Shellback: Furry Foam
Body: wrapped crosscut zonker strip
Legs: 6 sili legs
Rib: tying thread

unless you fish stillwaters...excellent pattern for dead-drifting, but it loses some of it's effectiveness when retrieved.
