Many acres of land with streams are purchased by land conservancies.

Consider donating and/or supporting these organizations for more open land and water in PA.

Conservancies rank right up there at the top when it comes to your dollar making a real and lasting impact, IMO. There's some real good ones around.

This kind of thing is good news indeed.
 
Pat: I totally agree! In fact, I'm going hiking with my do on one now. :)

Locally, we have Countryside Conservancy whose lands are enjoyed by hikers, bikers, fishers and others.
