confluence

Has anyone fished confluene area lately? Spending the day down there tomorrow and looking for some advice. Trout or smallies doesn't matter.

1160 cfs is to much for me.

It's falling and should be around 1000 by tomorrow at confluence. The dam is releasing around 550 so you could fish above the casselman if you don't want to wade confluence at 1000.

You could fish the Cassellman River for smallmouth.

I fished the two miles of river below Ramcat last friday and did very well. Lots of trout. A few smallmouth in there as well.

I fished the flat water above ramcat about a week ago. Not very good for dry flies. Rises were far and few between. Caught a few.
Water was still nice and cold though, at 64 degrees.
A CFS reading of 1000 or less is OK to wade the river in that area IMO - and that's what it was when we fished it
