Clouser Crayfish

Here's a slight variation on tying a clouser crayfish.

I couldn't figure out how to post it other than to make a pdf.

I need some crayfish flies. My buddy caught a bunch on the river last time we were out.

Jeff he was using the Near Nuff Crayfish. Nicely modified bugger. While this is a really cool crayfish here, it looks like a lot of work to tie. I wonder if it would outfish a bugger?

it actually is pretty easy to tie, but yes a bugger would probably catch you many fish as well.

Especially if you tie the bugger to look a lot like a Clouser Crayfish, i.e. matching the colors and size.

I suspect Bob Clouser chose those pale colors to imitate a moulting crayfish.

I've tied them that way and "upside down" with small barbell eyes at the tail. It rides hook point up and less snags
