There are many class a streams that are in the surrounding areas of Pittsburgh in Westmoreland county areas, as well as a place called hell run has anyone fished lick run, neals run, laurel run, tubmill creek, etc..?

They are all disappointments, imo.

I agree Jack, I'm from around New Stanton area and within a hour drive of me there is maybe a few that hold an "ok" population of streambread or natives. And now that the Yough has a class A case of Didymo... Well, that's a big blow to SWPA to say the least

Yes, and some even have green drakes in them.

It's true they can't be compared to other small streams in Central or Eastern PA. There, you can easily have a 30 fish day. IN SW PA on a typical day you may catch 5 or 6, generally speaking. AMD and acid rain have taken their toll over the years. But things are improving. They are certainly worth exploring.

One note: Hell Run is tough terrain, expect an aerobic workout, and it has become somewhat popular since advertised on the Class A Listing. Fishing it is no cakewalk.
