If you interested in Cicada's and fishing, you should check out the Anchored podcast ep 232 by April Vokey. She does an interview with Dave Zielinski the author of Cicada Madness: Timing, Fishing Techniques, and Patterns for Cracking the Code of Epic Cicada Emergences. His book only came out in October but it looks well done and I'm interested to read it for myself after hearing his interview on the podcast. he goes into a lot of what his book contains during the podcast and I found it to be very informative. Perhaps I will be a little more deliberate about my attempts to fish Cicadas during the summer. I might even try chasing the epic double emergence scheduled for the summer of 2024. we'll see.

Her podcast interview is also available on Youtube and Zielinski includes a power point presentation during the second half of the podcast that includes graphics and pictures. So far i only listened to the podcast, but i imagine the power point would be more useful.
