Chota has come out with a breathable knee high wading boot. Essentially a stocking foot gaiter with a latex seal at the top. Looks like a great option for fishing many of the small mountain strems I frequent. Does anyone have any experience with these?Link
I think I'd stick with the waist highs, which I have used exclusively for the past 3 or 4 years. still cool to wear, but your butt stays dry when you sit on a rock or log!
I'd be interested in something like that if they were cheap though.
Definitely something to be said for having a dry butt when you sit or as often the case with me fall down. Look for a new set of waders and definitly will only consider those than can morph into waist highs.
Just john, the LL Bean ones I recommended before are fantastic waders. I beat the crap out of them and they have held up. They are light and for any normal size stream, they are all you need. Add the bean warranty and they are winners.
