Chaumont Bay off Lake Ontario

Never fished for SM on Lake Ontario or Chaumont Bay.
Going there for a week mid September.
Taking'big water" boat--18ft cc

All the advice I have found online is for spinning gear and lures.

Will be bringing 2 fly rods and different kinds of lines
Any suggestions for using the fly rod and flys

Tom, here is a page or so from a book. That's all I found, but it looks like there's some good info in there. I've fished Lake O a bit for SMBs, but not there. Anyway, you should have no trouble finding them, from my experience, they find you! Good luck.

gobies/sculpins, emerald shiners, crayfish.
sinking or sink tip lines. take an 8wt for them, might even hit a salmon or steelhead there also. take articulated flies along.
