I watched a video of an English fellow tying a "soft Hackle" dry fly. It featured a CDC wing and soft hackle collar. Even though he was speaking English I found it hard to follow him sometimes. At the end of his ty he treated the fly with a small container of what he called CDC wax. He said the treated fly would float for a year (I think that's what he said). Anyone know of such wax? I would think it would gum up the CDC fibers.

For a better understanding of these English, Irish, Scottish fellows it helps to have a "wee dram".

I bought a container of this stuff. Its very oily, stinks and doesn't last any longer than other floatants I've used. I chucked it. Maybe someone else had a better experience.

Thanks that looks like the stuff
