ok here it is will coloring a cdc feather with a marker affect the way it performs? or floats

yes - dark brown floats better than light brown (j/k)

I'm not sure, but I'd advise against it. CDC floats because it traps air and has natural oils. Both properties could be ruined by a marker.

ok well i already colored one ill test it and report back if i remember by the time bwo;s start hatching i know they are delicate feathers thats why i asked
