Carpenter Bamboo

I bought this rod new from Harry Darbee around 1970. It was made for me. It is 7' 6" for a #5. It has two broken tips but both have been "miracle wrapped" and varnished. I've used this rod once a year for the past 20 years during local Hendrickson hatches. Then it gets wiped down and put back in the case for another year. A nice cane rod, by a well known Catskill rod builder, for anyone wanting an American made bamboo rod without breaking the bank. I'm not looking to get rich or scalp anyone. I think $250 is a fair price. Rod is available for viewing by appointment. Pictures will be emailed to interested parties. Will ship anywhere.

Even with two repaired tips, somebody is going to get quite a bargain. Carpenter rods often fetch thousands.

My phone got wet in Montana so it is impossible for me to communicate with anyone. It is probably better to wait until my phone is repaired or I get a new one.

I sold the rod to another forum member. Your message to me was more of a "want to see it" rather than "I want it no matter what". The other member offered to buy it immediately sight unseen. Sorry. I'm also selling a never fished custom Gatti 8' 6" #5 3 piece with sack but no rod tube. Nickel silver up lock Bellinger reel seat with black ash burl wood. Lovely dry fly rod. $200.
