Nice. Did you use small D-rib to tie them?

I have been playing with this same concept these days. Except I have been using Glow in the dark thread as a base. Im anxious to try them out.

I use swanundaze (original "D" rib material)
Dean, let me know how it works

Holographic tinsel under different colors or under clear makes different colors and some crazy looking flies.

Here are a few of the colors I do.

Great look on the two-tone, Aaron.

Sandfly nice ties. Also thanks Tim they work great on the steel.

very nice ties! have been wanting to experiment with these

this is my go to for caddis larva. Caught a ton of trout on these.
About as easy of pattern to tie. With or without bead, on standard or curved caddis hooks.

Have recently started tying a few with black beads, on a caddis hook with green, yellow, or chartreuse ice dub, use dyed squirrel for the black section. I rib them with thin gold wire, or holo tinsel. Cant wait to use them.

that looks like a winner. Is that ice dub behind the bead?

thanks for a new material to add to my list

It is very course to dub with but it is really great looking on flies. I found that dubbing wax doesn't work well with it. When applying it to thread, I need to dab my finger on my tongue and then spin the dubbing on to the thread.

rusty brown is a great color to use on them and on lightning bugs.
