Cabela's Synch

My wife has been having trouble casting with the slower fiberglass rod I got her and wanted a more chic color outfit. I saw a Cabela's Synch in an 8.5ft. #5 and picked it up. The rod is a teal ? color ? Idk, but somewhere between a pale blue and a green

I also ordered some WF5 Cortland floating line in a seafoam color. To finish it off maybe I'll order a an Allen trout ll in purple. Would be really cool if I could find an automatic reel in a cool color to match.

We had it out this weekend, she seems to like it, I think it's not a bad rod for the money. Picked it up on sale for about a hundo. Has a really nice smooth moderate action.

I'd be interested in your opinion after it has been fished a while. Cabela's offers some good rods at a reasonable price. About 1 1/2 years ago I bought a used L-Tech 9' 4 weight from a board member. I love that rod. I did cast the Vector fly rod and I was really impressed.

I have a 9 ft 5 wt Synch. It’s a very nice rod. I highly recommend it for typical PA trout fishing. Moderate action. High quality fit and finish. Great price.
