Give Popovics' hollow fly a shot. They look awesome in the water and are easy to tie.

Some cool variations:

thanks for that info jay. i already tye the hollow fly but never even thought of uning a mono to make it longer.

Marc,
The bunker are running already at the NJ shore - two weeks or so early (like all the other hatches:) ).

Anyway, I'll second Jay's recommendation of the Popovics hollow style ties. Really, any big, flat sided streamer will work - olive/purple over white is the standard. Big old Lefty's Deceivers will do the trick.

yea i heard there have been some pods of them. the bass really arnt there in numbers yet. i do penuts like that and i like how they turn out just got to stop at the fly shop and grab a few things.

Haven't put eyes on it but this is one I did. Time to get down there.

did you put lead on the hook, other wise it will lay on its side because of the bulk...

one of mine;
fished on the 12 wt. with a lead core shooting head...

i did read something about adding lead. thanks for the tip one of them has it but not the others. didnt know that why. some one said that it was because it make it easier to cast but im gonna add it to all the one i tie up now. i did tie some hallows and they look like yours. how effictive are they? i feel like they look more like mullet then bunker when wet. i only have a 10 wt so i hope that i can get it out.
