Please forgive me if this has been asked before. I see a lot of photos with freshly tied flies hanging on a bourbon cork. I have a few and they’ve become my favorite repurposing project. My question is not who makes the best stopper for this purpose, but what are the best cork bourbons?

If so, I'll vote for stuff I have in stock like Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year Old, Booker's, Blanton's, Knob Creek and Black Maple Hill Small Batch.
Rye corks work too. 😉

George Wiener is good stuff but not that easy to find in PA.
While not Bourbon, IMHO the old school George D!ckel white label beats the pants off Jack Daniels black label...
FWIW - Laphroaig is Scotch, not Bourbon and a completely different critter. But as a fan of Lagavulin 16 Year old, the peatier the better! 🙂

Like Sazerac. They used to card me every time bought it. I guess some hoard the stuff. It's been downgraded apparently.
