Anyone know how the flows are and/or if any hatches have begun. I know I seen heavy grannoms last year sometime in April?if no hatches what would be my best options nymph wise or other?

Regarding flows, Spring Creek is probably a pretty good parallel.

Regarding hatches, Penns is a better one.

Haven't been there yet this year.
But usually, blue quills are hatching right around mid april in the narrows
As for the grannoms - I've been up there several times the week BEFORE opening day. And found them hatching down in the stocked area in Mill Hall - and still off limits to fishing. And not yet hatching upstream. Pretty annoying

Was there last weekend and still saw BWO's coming off. Did not see any other hatches and the BWO was not heavy so I'm guessing it's just about done. They were a size 18 and even though I'm not bug ID savvy, I'm preety certain they were BWO's and not quills.

Thank you guys. Gonna give it a whirl tomorrow.
