This is a Seven-Week course designed to teach a beginner student how to tie flies that catch fish, proper fly tying proportions and the basic use of the fly tying tools. These patterns are the building block for fly tying. After the class, a student will be able to find a recipe and tie almost any fly pattern. The course includes a Full Color Fly Tying Manual. First Class will go over tools and materials.
A DVD containing videos of the flies taught at the class will be given at the end of the class for reference.

Limited amount of Tool kits available for use at the class.
Fishing trip to try out the files you tied at a trout stream one Saturday.

Instructor is Jerry Coviello a life member of Fly Fishers International and the Chairman of the Fly Tying Group of the FFI, Fly Tying Field Editor for the FFI Fly Fishers Magazine, and a Dyna-King Pro Member. Jerry has taught fly tying and fishing for over 30 years and has run workshops for the International Fly Fishing Fair in Livingston Montana and the International Fly Tying Symposium.
