Anybody out there ever fish the Bash Bish upstream of the famous waterfall in Massachusetts? I am planning to take my fly rod for a nice scenic hike there. I have never been there before. I know it is cold water and would expect brook trout, but I have no idea really.

There's a book by Bob Mallard about fishing the Northeast, he's pretty knowledgeable. He's got contact info in the book. That stream isn;t in the book but there are others nearby that are. I'll look up his number if you pm me and get it for you.

Never fished above the falls, but below the waters is nice. Best fished late and most and dry fly will get strikes. Rolf JansenKkill is one of the best trout streams in the state and worth a look. Lots of the local ponds hold bass and pickerel which are fun to catch. GG
