I am going to be out in Bartonsville next week for work. I have never been out to that part of the state before, and was thinking about bringing my gear for an evening session or two. I was hoping for some recommendations as to where would be a good place to go around or near there. Any info is appreciated, thanks!

Matt

You are not far from the Broadhead also Pocono creek runs right thru Bartonsville also the Mcmicheal is right there all are good fishing.

The Pocono Creek runs through Bartonsville and has several easy access spots north towards Tannersville. The Brodhead Chapter of TU will be working on the Pocono in Tannersville off of Old Mill Road on Wednesday and Thursday next week staging boulders on the banks for placement in a habitat improvement project next year. See http://brodheadtu.org

The Pocono is wild trout water in that area.

The Brodhead has great access also from all of the parks along 191. See http://stroudgreenway.org/regional-trail-systems/ for maps. Those sections were stocked in the last few weeks.

Their is also a catch and release wild trout section on the Brodhead in Analomink north of Stroudsburg at the ForEvergreen nature preserve.

There is also access to the McMichaels at Hickory Valley Park near Stroudsburg. That is a DHALO reg section. You can find a map at the link above.
