My Casio, which I have used for many years, needs to be replaced. Before I buy another Casio, I thought I would ask if anyone is wearing an Apple watch while fishing and what they think of it as an outdoor watch?

I assume you have a newer model that is water proof? The early versions were questionable.

Sorry I wasn't more clear. I don't own an Apple Watch. I'm hoping to get some feedback on whether it is a useful alternative for me to consider compared to a more standard watch like a Casio.

I fairly recently bought a version 2 Apple Watch. It is waterproof to something like 30'. Version 1 is water resistant which is why I went with version 2.

I like it and, not fishing related, it has focused me on getting some exercise and focus on what I eat.

I just read version 3 will be out soon. The one thing the article said was added is LTE capability. I was wondering if that means you need another cellular provider contract! But it may mean a price drop in the version 2.

Hope this helps, PM me if you have any questions.
