Have a 10.5. Foot. Scadden pontoon my daughter was asking to take it on the lake anyone take their pontoons on a lake before? I am sure yes any advise how to set it up for her? Some of her friends have kayaks, but she is digging the casting platform for some reason. I have learned not to ask questions. I do have a pfd for her. Thanks in advance.

The only drawback I see is if the wind is up. That's why Scadden has a new model that is only 6" or so above the water line. But I'm in the process of buying my deceased fishing buddy's Scadden. I plan on taking out on Little Buffalo Lake this summer.

The kayaks will run circles around her but other than that....she'll be fine. If the wind is up, she's going to blow across the lake....very similar to a beach ball in a swimming pool. Is she big / strong enough to row it?

Wind and big waves can be a problem, small lake should be no problem.

Thanks for the info, She should be able to handle it if not I am sure I will get a call while she is on the lake!
