Although the article is worth reading, note that it is from Jan 2014. The house bill 1476 was taken off the table on Sep 16, 2014 after pressure from many groups and individuals.

I looked and didn't see where it is being re-introduced, but maybe i missed it. When it was previously introduced I contacted my Rep several times objecting (as a conservative lol).

If there is new action on this I'd like to know so i can start hitting up the rep again.
