*Can't decide between the 3/4 GP rod for 45 bucks or the a5 for 130. -Any suggestions?

I ordered a reel.

Although I don't need it, it was hard to pass up a $250 reel for $35.

Oh I bought a spool too.


Side note, I was at work and they had stock of every size reel, by the time I did running around and got home (2 hours) only one size left.

The stuff is going quick.

Seems the Bugati reels have had a clearance run each year for the past two years (perhaps different model years?). Beware the MSRP - street prices are probably about 40% of their MSRP. And 5.5 oz for a 3/4wt reel is about an ounce too heavy, IMHO.

Not bashing Albright - I own one of their spey rods I picked up on the cheap a few years ago, but caveat emptor

Got my reel today -- 2 days.

Can't complain for $52 (reel and extra spool).

I only wish my son was old enough for waders.
