UV Solarez Bone Dry for the head and I coated the tail on the shank of the hook with it also.

For those who view this, let's add a little twist.

I would think you could find deer hair in 15 different colors. Adds a nice twist on this fine pattern. Now figure sizes 10, 12, 14. Better get a big fly box.

Curious why moose for the tail as opposed to the usual Adams pattern of grizz and brown hackle fibers?

Tail, Stable and Float. I use a whole lot of deer for my tailing. Only because I have no Moose.

I believe the Moose is the staple for this pattern tied correctly

That's a very good fly for fishing mountain streams when the water is up.

The Goddard Caddis is another deer hair pattern that is very good for the same type of fishing.

Moose Body Hair or Deer Hair are the staple for any Irresistible.

Jerry, while on this, can you share another popular hair fly?

Bomber! Yes they also work great for trout! Another one that can be tied in 15 colors! I always called them the "Buck Bug". Naturally the horn can be left out for a simple head. Actually horn can be goose biots, also tail.

What we have here, is a pattern with sky limits. Legs? How about eyes!

Oh yeah, I want a tail on my Porterhouse. I like tails! A Lot!
Something to look forward to. I am thinking, Just cut that loin in 2 pieces. One for me and one for my Pal! We will be like John Candy on that movie!
