Despite the low flows, the clouds ahead of Dorian yesterday and the cooler, longer nights are turning things back on, it seems. Nice too see the reports trickling in again! This one was from a certain very pressured Northampton County limestoner. Hand-measured at over 18 and beefy. Nymphed about 10 fish close to cover with a pink tag fly and a perdigon or drowned ant on the dropper. Leaf hatch starting, and not just the sycamores. Felt like a fall day. I know the heat can't be over, but it was nice to pretend yesterday! Two shots of same fish below:
