A day on the Perk.

Fished the perk ffo section yesterday with a friend. caught 3 1bow 18" + Friend caught brown same size. But thats not the story. Met a nice guy name ,Gary. As we wre getting ready to call it a day two kids showed up one had a fly rod and some really old and poorly tied flies. The three of us got out of the water and after seeing the tackle we gave them some flies. Gary took them back to his truck put the line on correctly, put a nail knot on the end of the line and gave them a leader. We left but I assume he also gave them some info about fly fishing. A real nice guy there should be more guys like him.

That is really nice. I would of done the same thing. Where is the ffo section on the perkiomen?

First time I was ever there. Its the Montco park section. If you take 29 out of Green Lane you will come to the creek above Red Hill. Maybe someone more famaliar with the creek could give you better directions. I think Chas knows that area pretty well.
