Looking for a short rod in 3 or 4 weight between 6 and 6'3" multipiece.
TIA

Great rod on Amazon made by Wild Water Fly Fishing. It is 5'6" and a 3wt, but makes really nice casts, especially on small and tight brook trout creeks. Comes with rod sock and case, reel with line and leader, along with a fly box and a few flies. I got one for my brother for his birthday and it was only like $94, perfect price if you break it walking through brush, while still having a great rod. 4pc rod btw. Tight Lines!

Price range?

Glass? Graphite?

Thanks WildBrownTrout.

Fiberglass or graphite, price is not really a issue, although I like to save money.

I have been looking for something like the Orvis 6' 2wt Ion or Superfine loaded with a 3 or 4 weight line. Pretty sure the Ion would have done that and the superfine probably too.

Hey guy-

Why not one of these:

You could also roll with a Cabelas CGR Fiberglass 6'6" 4wt 3pc. I have one and love it. You would be hard pressed to find a better rod for $70 with unconditional lifetime guarantee.

Thanks for all the information.

If money isn't an issue, check out the new Scott F series fiberglass rods. I personally would go with a 4 piece. I like to be able to break the rod down as much as possible in case I want to pack it in and or out in a backpack.

Good Luck.

I have a couple small water rods, my first fly rod I got for my 14th birthday is a brand I have never seen since(6ft 3 wt red canyon), and I used the crap out of it, learning on small trout water. I don’t think I would’ve wanted another rod. However, since then my favorite small water brook trout rod is an old 6’3 3wt, bamboo rod that I found at a garage sale about 5 years back. It isn’t as supple as the newer graphite, but it is very accurate and feels great! Side note, to me, there is just something special about using bamboo rods and watching natives blow up a stimulator. When I get back home, I’ll get you a brand name if interested.

6'4" 4wt (64p) by Chris Barclay. Absolutely love this rod for small streams.
