Really looking for an affordable ($100 or less to $200) 3 weight rod and a reel to pair with it. I would only be using this rod for fishing tight, small headwater streams for native and wild trout. I would prefer between 6 ft and 7.5 ft. Any suggestions or PMs on what I should be looking at would be appreciated.

Cabelas may still have the CGR on sale, Might be a good place to start.

The CGR is a nice option if you like cheapy 'glass rods. I have a 5'9" and a 7',

I also have a 7'6" 3w Cabelas 3 Forks rods I fish a lot.

Pair em with a used click pawl reel and your under 100$.

The Cabelas CGR reel is nice too if you want to go new. Ive been waitin for them to go on sale to pick one up

I love my 6' 10" Sage TXL-F 3wt. It's the perfect rod for me paired with the Sage Click reel. Might be able to find one on close out somewhere. I also have it in a 0 wt. 7' 10" with an able trout 2 reel.

Walmart sells a 7' Shakespeare micro series fly rod that is perfect for the tight trout streams, and it s cheap if you break it going through the woods. As far as reels, im not too sure.
